NUCHIPS Picture CD-Rom & Recording

This Northwestern University-Children’s Perception of Speech (NU-CHIPS) Picture CD-Rom & Recording product is the male talker version with pictures on CD-Rom. It is a closed-set picture-pointing word recognition test for children whose language age is as low as three. The NU-CHIPS Picture CD-Rom allows patients to view the pictures on a computer screen. Alternately, the black and white pictures can be printed and placed inside a binder. The test is made up of 50 words familiar to three-year-olds in four randomizations called forms.

The NUCHIPS Picture CD-Rom & Recording includes a) pictures on CD-Rom, b) audio recording, and c) instructions and score form as printable pdf files. The seventeen-page instruction manual includes administration, scoring, and interpretation information. Age-specific normative data is included for ages three and up.
