The PAL Lists 9-12 (Rush Hughes)© get their name from Psycho-Acoustic Labratory (PAL). Rush Hughes is the talker. This recording represents one of the earliest attempts to develop a test of communication ability. Each word list contains 50 words.

This recording is somewhat noisy and is very difficult. (Better than 80% correct is within normal limits.)  It has been employed in central auditory processing assessments in addition to a word recognition test.

PAL Lists 9-12 (Rush Hughes)© include a) audio recording, and b) word list. This product does not include instructions or normative data. It is assumed that purchasers of Auditec’s auditory tests are well trained in the use, purpose, and interpretation of basic tests.
