PBK Form B© tests word recognition ability of lower grade school age children. The articulation function is approximately 4%/dB. There are three lists of 50 words (150 words total) available in four different randomizations. This PBK Form B product includes all of the same 150 PBK words as Form A, but they are presented in a different sequence to prevent memorization. Administration time is 10-15 minutes.

PBK Form B includes a) audio recording and b) printed word list. This product does not include instructions or normative data. It is assumed that purchasers of Auditec’s auditory tests are well trained in the use, purpose, and interpretation of basic tests.

The Spanish Pediatric Picture Identification Test© (SPPIT) MALE TALKER is a closed-set picture-pointing word recognition test appropriate for children four and up. The SPPIT picture book consists of 25 color plates with four pictures per page. Its pages can be easily wiped to prevent the spread of germs. The recording is comprised of three 25-word lists spoken by a Spanish-speaking male talker with a European accent. It is presented in two ways: a) Spanish words on the left channel with the English translation on the right channel, and b) Spanish words on both channels. Administration time is approximately 5-10 minutes. The Arabic Basic© consists of a word list for obtaining speech recognition threshold (SRT) and four lists of 50 words for speech discrimination. Unlike English basic word lists, these word lists do not use a carrier phrase. A three-second interval is used between words. Additionally, the recording includes verbal patient instructions in Arabic. All lists are standard Arabic spoken by a male talker native to Amman, Jordan.
