This product consists of a recording of Child Spondees with a recording of PBK.

• Child Spondees is considered a speech threshold (or speech reception threshold-SRT) test. It is a list of spondaic words that was selected to be familiar to children. Auditec recorded 51 words in one randomization. The medium SRT is 20 dB SPL. The administration time for Child Spondees is five minutes.
• The PBK-50, also known as PBK, tests word recognition ability of lower grade school age children. The articulation function is approximately 4%/dB. There are three lists of 50 words (150 words total) available in four different randomizations. Administration time for the PBK -50 is 10-15 minutes.

Child Spondees; PBK© includes a) audio recording and b) printed word lists. This product does not include instructions, normative data, or pictures. It is assumed that purchasers of Auditec’s auditory tests are well trained in the use, purpose, and interpretation of basic tests.
