The PAL Lists 1-4 (Jerger)© get their name from Psycho-Acoustic Labratory (PAL). James Jerger is the talker. This recording represents one of the earliest attempts to develop a test of communication ability. Each word list contains 50 words.

Spanish Binaural Fusion© is an auditory processing test. It requires recognition of monosyllables whose low frequency spectrum is presented to one ear and high frequency spectrum simultaneously to the other ear, this test is in the binaural interaction category.

The Spanish Binaural Fusion© test is part of the Santiago APD Battery. Auditec recommends purchasing the complete battery which includes a) Spanish-In-Noise, b) Spanish Binaural Fusion, c) Spanish Filtered Speech, and d) Spanish Dichotic Digits. However, Auditec has made single test in the battery available for purchase for those with budget restraints. The battery includes instructions in English and Spanish.

The Spanish Binaural Fusion© includes a) audio recording, and b) manual with score forms as printable files. The extensive manual is provided in both Spanish and English. The NU-CHIPS opposite Four Talker Noise© recording has all four lists of the NU-CHIPS recorded to the left channel. Four Talker Noise is recorded to the right channel as competition. This recording is offered for those who want to administer this test with noise; however, no interpretative data is available for the test in noise.

The primary signal (word list) is recorded on the left track, and the competition is on the right. This versatile recording can be administered for masking, speech in noise, or words in quiet. With a dual-channel audiometer, the administrator can set their own signal-to-noise ratio by mixing the left and right channels. They can access the left channel only to administer the word lists in quiet.

The NU-CHIPS opposite Four Talker Noise© includes: a) audio recording, and b) instructions and score forms as printable pdf files. (The instructions pertain to the original test recorded without noise.) The NUCHIPS pictures are not included with this recording but can be purchased separately.
