The NU-CHIPS opposite Four Talker Noise© recording has all four lists of the NU-CHIPS recorded to the left channel. Four Talker Noise is recorded to the right channel as competition. This recording is offered for those who want to administer this test with noise; however, no interpretative data is available for the test in noise.

The primary signal (word list) is recorded on the left track, and the competition is on the right. This versatile recording can be administered for masking, speech in noise, or words in quiet. With a dual-channel audiometer, the administrator can set their own signal-to-noise ratio by mixing the left and right channels. They can access the left channel only to administer the word lists in quiet.

Masking Level Difference-Tone©

The Masking Level Difference-Tone© is an auditory processing disorder test. It is considered a binaural interaction test sensitive to low brainstem. The MLD Tone (500Hz) uses nonverbal stimuli. It is a short test in which both hetero- and homo-phasic trials are contained.  A release from masking is expected in the heterophasic conditions. This test was designed and recorded by Richard Wilson. Test administration is approximately five minutes.

CIAT Dichotic Sentences

This portion of the Constraint-Induced Auditory Therapy (CIAT) includes dichotic sentences only. There are two lists of 25 sentences for 3-syllable, 4-syllable, 5-syllable, and 6-syllable sentences and one list of 25 sentences for 7-syllables. The patient is instructed to identify both sentences. This therapy can be used on an unlimited number of patients with simple equipment. The CIAT is a tool for remediation and should not be used to diagnose patients.
