The Vietnamese Basic© consists of a word list for obtaining speech recognition threshold (SRT) and four lists of 50 words for speech discrimination. Additionally, the recording includes verbal patient instructions in Vietnamese. The lists are spoken by a male talker. Unlike English basic word lists, these word lists do not use a carrier phrase. A three-second interval is used between words.
